Switch map problem when trying to convert Angular Material Dynamic Table into reusable component
.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}
I am trying to convert the dynamic table example from Angular Material into a reusable component, I had the example working perfectly if I have the http service in the Child Component, however I would like to make it usable, I decided have the http call as input.
I have the parent Component passing the observable data from http calls.
in Child Component I am trying to invoke the http call in Parent by emitting the payload in onHttpUpdate.
The issue is when I got the switchMap function, Pagination is undefined.
export class DynammicTableComponent implements OnInit {
@ViewChild(MatPaginator) paginator: MatPaginator
@ViewChild(MatSort) sort: MatSort
@Input() displayedColumns: string
@Output() onHttpUpdate: EventEmitter<any> = new EventEmitter();
@Input() responseData: Observable<HttpDbResponse>
data: Array<any> =
resultLimits: Array<number> = [10, 25, 50, 100]
resultsLength: number = 0
isLoadingResults: boolean = true
defaultSort: {} = { sort: 'supplierName', order: 'asc', page: 1, pageSize: 10 }
constructor() { }
ngOnInit() {
this.sort.sortChange.subscribe(() => this.paginator.pageIndex = 1)
merge(this.sort.sortChange, this.paginator.page, this.paginator.pageSizeOptions)
.pipe(
startWith(this.defaultSort),
switchMap(() => {
this.isLoadingResults = true
this.onHttpUpdate.emit({ sort: this.sort.active, order: this.sort.direction, page: this.paginator.pageIndex + 1, pageSize: this.paginator.pageSize });
return this.responseData;
}),
map(response => {
return response.data
}),
catchError(() => {
console.log('loading data failed...')
this.isLoadingResults = false
return observableOf()
})
).subscribe(data => this.data = data)
}
}
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
