Can non-outlook account users view/edit word files displayed using WOPI Integration?

I'm working on Cloud Editor Project where in word documents uploaded needs to be shown in browser which can be edited in the browser itself. To achieve this, I'm using WOPI protocol to integrate with Office Online Server.
Question - Can non-outlook users view/edit the documents?
