I am trying to detect/read asynchronous event/alarm detected/generated on PLC via my application using Snap7.

The PLC is acting as server and I have configured my application to use sanp7 as a client.
As per sanp7 manual only after client requests data that the server responds. The server by itself can't asynchronously send data to the client.

I wish to know how my application (acting like SCADA), will detect that PLC has generated any alarms (e.g. temperature anomaly, etc.) or detect events (e.g. emergency stop button pressed).

Will using the partner theater need re-programming of PLC? Re-programming PLC is quite difficult as it's logic/program was developed by third part which will not readily change their program.
