Can't connect MySQL with Netbeans
I have this problem everytime I try to connect, I'm using Windows 10, NetBeans 8.0.2 and MySQL 8.0.13 the connector I'm using is the one that MySQL installed during the setup but the thing is, no matter what I try it never works.
I tried changing the connector, the database, the port, the user and password and nothing works.
I've read many different questions in here but none is helping me to find a solution, I've tried lots of things and still... The thing is if I don't give the results at school I'll be expulsed...
This is the log I get
Cannot establish a connection to jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/proyectoblockbuster using com.mysql.jdbc.Driver (java.lang.ClassCastException: java.math.BigInteger cannot be cast to java.lang.Long)
mysql netbeans

Not sure what "expulsed" means, but onto your question. Try isolating the problem, by first connecting on command-line from the server itself, if possible; then connect from your localhost; then find a simple JDBC example. All with your provided username/password combo. If it still doesn't work, leave a comment indicating which step failed.
