I am using SAP Success Factors API to apply leave. i am calling https://hostname/odata/v2/EmployeeTime api with payload
{
"__metadata":{
"uri":"hostname:443/odata/v2/EmployeeTime('frieszilla123rhetala1')",
"type":"SFOData.EmployeeTime"
},
"externalCode":"frieszilla123rhetala1",
"endDate":"/Date(1549579655649)/",
"loaActualReturnDate":null,
"loaExpectedReturnDate":null,
"cust_deliverytype":null,
"loaStartJobInfoId":null,
"startDate":"/Date(1549579655649)/",
"startTime":null,
"loaEndJobInfoId":null,
"approvalStatus":"PENDING",
"cust_notificationdate":null,
"undeterminedEndDate":false,
"userId":"sfadmin",
"recurrenceGroup":null,
"cust_expectedweek":null,
"fractionQuantity":"1",
"endTime":null,
"userIdNav":{
"__deferred":{
"uri":"hostname:443/odata/v2/EmployeeTime('userid')/userIdNav"
}
},
"timeTypeNav":{
"__deferred":{
"uri":"hostname:443/odata/v2/EmployeeTime('TT_VAC_REC')/timeTypeNav"
}
}
}
This allows me to apply leave with status as pending, however for approver, it does not show the leave request in their requests' list. And user who has applied for leave (from api), when checked in their portal, the leave request shows up as pending but with no approver assigned.

I think you need wfRequestNav to be added... apparently I got no example for this. But to generate task you need a workflow ...
