How to understand the MS ACCESS Error log

-2

I have uploaded some excel files into an ACCESS database. I see an error log it gives and some of this makes sense. The zip codes that are less than 5 characters is fine.

However some of this data makes no sense.

Error Field Row
Type conversion error Case # 266
Type conversion error Archive_ID 404

The data is like any other data in the set. The column has not been designated as a key field if duplicates is the issue. Why does it pick on some columns of data for what reason?
In these cases the field is blank but so many others are as well.

Archive_ID is a number type field
Case # is a number type field as well. There is nothing set reqarding nulls, they are not a required field.

Filter by on load = No
Order by onload = Yes

More information is required for us to be able to provide a meaningful answer. What is the data type of the fields in question? Are they set to require a non-null value? Are they numerical and receiving non-numerical data?

  • What is the exact content of Row 266 for the Case # field and Row 404 for the Archive_ID field?

  • Advise not to use spaces nor punctuation/special characters (underscore only exception) in naming convention.

  • Case # is blank archive id Archive ID 14138
