How can I hide a specific category from the category navigation and also Featured Products in Bigcartel?

I'm currently using the Lunch Break Theme for my bigcartel shop and I would like to make categories that will be hidden from the Featured Products list and the category navigation.



I know there is some code to do this however I'm having quite a difficult time figuring out where it would go. Any help is greatly appreciated.
