Python sqlparser: get table and columns names
i try to use sqlparser and suffer. Why it so cruelly with me?
I just want to get list of columns and list of tables (if it's "joined"-sql, often - it's only one table).
Ok. What i do:
- try to parse it
parsed = sqlparse.parse(sql_text)[0]
And it's failed - witespaces at before and after query affect on result. - So i use
parsed = sqlparse.parse(sql_text.strip())[0]
- Get it: (str(parsed.tokens[8]), str(parsed.tokens[2])) - tuple of column-part and tablename-part
Yes, it isn't list of columns, but i can do it myself.
BUT! Number of columns affect on result too! So, "8" and "2" can change on (7,4), (9,3), anyway.
sql_text = '''
SELECT
t."BP_EXTERN" as BP_EXTERN
--, t."/BIC/YBPIDEAL" as BIC_YBPIDEAL
--, t."LOAD_DATE" as LOAD_DATE
FROM sapsr3."/BIC/ASRCIBCLT00" t WHERE $CONDITIONS
'''
And now, i don't understand, how to reach my goal.
Why it so hard to make simple interface for parse-module?
python sql python-3.x sql-parser
