SNA - Family Identification in Telecomunication

Multi tool use
I am facing the problem Family Identification in Telco. I tried searching on Google about "family identification", "family analysis", "family detection", "household identification", "household detection",...
However, I cannot find any documents/resources which describe detail about that problem.
Below is solution of Idiro Analytics (https://www.slideshare.net/Idiro/identifying-families-jan-2015). It is not detailed.
- Idiro receives anonymised CDRs and subscriber data
- The telco provides a sample of known families
- Idiro builds a model to predict which subscribers share a family link
- Idiro applies the model to all the links between every on-net & offnet MSISDN
- Finally we use a clustering algorithm to detect the families based on groups of subscribers interconnected by strong family links
- Feedback from early campaigns is used to refine the outputs
I have some questions about the steps above of Idiro:
- Can you explain in more detail about step 3? In this step we build a
model to classfification link (binary classification: family
link/not family link)? - Can you explain in more detail about step 5? Which algorithm we will
apply in this step? Do we need Connected Component?
Anyone already have experience about that problem can give me the answer of question above or/and some resources/documents about that problem.
Sorry for any grammatical mistakes.
Thanks in advance.
