How to segment line layer by point layer

0

I have a line shp file which was the result of a dynamic segmentation from another system. It is tied to the LRS and has milepoint ranges.

I have a point shp file which belongs to the same LRS (its the intersections of the network).

I want to further dynseg the line shp file by the point shp file making sure the geometry is correctly cut and the miles are adjusted accordingly and to include 1 attribute (name) from the point layer onto the line layer.

How can I do this? Do I have to convert it back to a route event and do a real dynseg or is there a tool that will help me?
