Best way to make a widget movable

I'd like to have a widget (a ball) which can be moved to a grid. Each square of the grid is a widget. See photo.
There is draggable, but since the ball can be on 4 squares at the same time, I would need to have overlapping DragTargets which combines 4 widgets (squares). Also I need to add the picture to the new place and remove it from the old place, which is not solved very nicely.
If I use the gesture detector, I cannot define valid target positions. It's therefore also not a good solution.
Is there a good way to do that?
