Mac VS “Code language not supported or defined”

-1

I recently downloaded VS and I was checking if C++ was ready to go with a simple code.
enter image description here
But I get this message "Code language not supported or defined"
What could I be missing? I have code runner and c/c++ extension installed and reloaded.

  • You didn't post a big enough screen shot, so not sure what is exactly the "VS" you are using, VS for Mac or VSCode. If VSCode, then you need not only the extension, marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ms-vscode.cpptools but also its complicated setup, code.visualstudio.com/docs/languages/cpp#_getting-started
