Kept getting [] in POSTMAN using GET request with my route path does POSTMAN or node js overwrite
this is my route file for the videos
"use strict"
const videosController = require('../controllers/videosController');
function routeVideos(app){
app.route('/videos')
.get(videosController.getAllVideos);
}
module.exports = {routeVideos};
However, when i use the another route file for games and type the route path of /games in POSTMAN and even the browser, i am able to GET back all the data
"use strict"
const gamesController = require('../controllers/gamesController');
function routeGames(app){
app.route('/games')
.get(gamesController.getAllGames);
}
module.exports = {routeGames};
This is my server file
"use strict";
const express = require("express");
const bodyParser = require("body-parser");
const routeUsers = require('./routes/routeUsers');
const routeGames = require('./routes/routeGames');
const routeVideos = require('./routes/routeVideos');
var app = express();
var host = "127.0.0.1";
var port = 8080;
var startPage = "index.html";
app.use(express.static("./public"));
app.use(bodyParser.urlencoded({ extended: true }));
app.use(bodyParser.json());
routeUsers.routeUsers(app);
routeGames.routeGames(app);
routeVideos.routeVideos(app);
function gotoIndex(req, res) {
console.log(req.params);
res.sendFile(__dirname + "/" + startPage);
}
app.get("/" + startPage, gotoIndex);
app.route("/");
var server = app.listen(port, host, function() {
var host = server.address().address;
var port = server.address().port;
console.log("Example app listening at http://%s:%s", host, port);
});
I kept getting when i tried to use GET request on POSTMAN when i use /videos as my route path but when i use /videos/video for example i am able to GET data on POSTMAN and Why do i have to add 2 base in my route path for POSTMAN to GET my data
node.js routes postman routeparams

I think this may be caused by server side caching. It looks like Express automatically enables caching, at least according to this article: webapplog.com/secret-express-js-settings/#attachment_1500
