How can I call a function in my Playground from an external file in the “Sources” folder?

0

I'm currently working on a Swift Playground. The folder structure looks like this:

CanvasTest.playground
|--Sources
|--CanvasView.swift

I can create a new CanvasView in CanvasTest and everything works perfectly. But as soon as I try to call a function in CanvasView, it just doesn't work.
Am I doing something wrong or is this just not possible?

I tried making my ViewController in CanvasTest public and writing a public function called run(). I'm still unable to call it from CanvasView using CanvasViewController().run().
