IntersectionObserver with Vue (Nuxt)

I wanna observe all Images in my String and if they get in Viewport I want to trigger a function (lazy loading images).
HTML:

if (entry.isIntersecting) {

lazyImage.src = lazyImage.dataset.src

lazyImageObserver.unobserve(lazyImage)

The problem is that the IntersectionObserver never triggers on an image Element even when scrolling over/past it etc.
