Setuptools does not install google-cloud-storage with install_requires

0

I have a python package which contains multiple dependencies of which google-cloud-storage is one of them.

When I install the module in another project, it installs all the required dependencies except for google-cloud-storage. I have to reinstall using pip install google-cloud-storage after each time I install my custom module.

My setup.py looks as follows:

import setuptools

with open("README.md", "r") as fh:
long_description = fh.read()

setuptools.setup(
name="module_example",
version="0.0.1",
author="Example",
author_email="abc@def.com",
description="Example Wrapper",
long_description=long_description,
long_description_content_type="text/markdown",
url="https://www.example.com",
packages=setuptools.find_packages(),
classifiers=[
"Programming Language :: Python :: 3",
"License :: OSI Approved :: MIT License",
"Operating System :: OS Independent",
],
install_requires=[
'pyrebase',
'pandas',
'firebase_admin',
'google-cloud-storage',
'xlrd'
]
)

Why is everything installed except for this google-cloud-storage?
