3

var newUser = new User({ countryCode: countryCode, phoneNumber:
phoneNumber,simSerial:simSerial,emailAddress:emailAddress });
newUser.save((err, user) =>{
console.log("saved sucessfully")
})

Here i'm using save command to save the data in a collection, but some times it creates duplicates

Is it possible to add upsert:true in save command ?

  • You need to open the mongo shell: and use the following command db.Your_collection_name.createIndex( { "Your_unique_field": 1 }, { unique: true } )
