Change the color of subplots in Matplob lib in Pandas

Multi tool use
I'm trying to get a bar chart using subplots to have different colors per group. When calling the functions without any specific configuration, I can get the 2 lines with different colors, i.e.,
fig, ax = plt.subplots(figsize=(15,7))
ax.set_ylabel("# POSITION RECORD")
df_babi_grouped.plot(ax=ax, x='WEEK_NUMBER', y='MSG_SRC_COUNT')
and the resulting chart:
but when I try to get the same plot to use bars instead of lines, I get all bars to have the same color. i.e.,
fig, ax = plt.subplots(figsize=(15,7))
ax.set_ylabel("# POSITION RECORD")
df_babi_grouped.plot(ax=ax, x='WEEK_NUMBER', y='MSG_SRC_COUNT', kind='bar', color=['r', 'g', 'b'])
the resulting chart:
python pandas matplotlib charts jupyter-notebook

hi, can you add some sample data? This really helps with finding the solution to your problem.
