adding core ui to rails application vuejs

0

I am trying to add coreui to Rails app and I am using coreui's VueJS theme.

There are few Assets which I have copied in rails app as in app/assets/stylesheets/scss

SCSS is the main folder from coreui and directory structure looks like that now.

enter image description here

But when I try to load application, it's giving me error as

enter image description here

There is nothing wrong in styles.scss,

// If you want to override variables do it here
@import "variables";

// Import styles
@import "@coreui/coreui/scss/coreui";

// If you want to add something do it here
@import "custom";

// ie fixes
@import "ie-fix";

this line @import "@coreui/coreui/scss/coreui"; is importing CoreUI from node_modules directory.

whereas the error lies in a file which is _variables.scss in node_modules/@coreui/coreui/scss/_variables.scss.

and it's loading 2 partials in the above file as

@import "node_modules/bootstrap/scss/functions"; // from bootstrap node_modules
@import "node_modules/bootstrap/scss/variables"; // from bootstrap node_modules

both these partials are available in the same path in bootstrap as well with _variables.scss and _functions.scss.

Is there something wrong with Rail's asset pipeline? Do I need to change something? I am using Vue webpacker configuration for the application. and the issue is just related to added some assets to the app and then load them. Can you point out where I am wrong?
