Why i cannot use like statement in java with jsp file

The error message clearly is about your use of theUPPERfunction, which does not appear to exist in your database. That being said, which database are you using (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres) ?

the database i use is belong to netbean if no wrong ,and for your reply , i delete the UPPER ,then the error will become the (error encountered at LIKE) , so i was curious where i do the mistake
