How to sort an NSOutlineView easily by a custom property?

0

I need to sort an NSOutlineView in ascending/alphabetical order. My NSOutlineView is used as a tree view for my application.

Example of what i want to achieve:

+ Files
- A file.c
- A file.d
- A file.fs
- A file.go
- A file.py
- A file.swift

What I currently get is that the files are not sorted in any particular order which is not what I need.

Node Structure:

struct Node {
var name: String // The file name (we need to split to get the ext)
var children = [Node]() // Any child nodes, this works

var isDirectory: Bool // Is it a directory?
}

          You can't sort a view. The solution is to provide sorted data and/or implement NSOutlineViewDataSource method outlineView(_:sortDescriptorsDidChange:).
