Inserting text Using Google Script and Google Docs (not Sheets)
I have made a script that will take data from Google Sheets and paste it into Google Docs by replacing a word.
The only issue I have is that I need to rely on keywords for the script to pick out. Is there another way I could paste to a precise location?

You can use bookmarks instead. They may be accessed by Document.getBookmarks() in the script. You should control only their order in a document. Sometimes it is convenient, but the template is less readable.
