Sum between two dynamic dates

0

Disclaimer: I just started using MicroStrategy Dossier a couple of weeks ago and have only performed basic data pulls before that. I know this is a 'newbie' question, but I cannot figure it out and Google is not being as helpful as I need.

I need to display "Today" "Week To Date " "Month To Date" "Year To Date" "Last Year To Date" for a metric in a view.

I thought I had it figured out using

 `SUM([Variable]){+,[Week Number]} `

But that only works for the most recent day. Previous dates improperly display the total sum of the week (including the future date).

How do get MicroStrategy to dynamically sum between the start of the week/month/year and the displayed date? (And how do I offset that calculation by a year to get the LYTD numbers?)
