Can i send udp packet to “who are lisenting particular port” using java?
sir,
I have two receiver socket both are multicast socket. one is bind with 8888 port and mulicast ip and another one bind as 131.10.20.16:8888. Here if i send packet to 131.10.20.16:8888,both receiver should get that packet right?? But,I can receive only in 131.10.20.16:8888 receiver only (I know ,if both are receiver bind with same port and multicast ip and sender send packet to them,it will receive)
may be my understanding wrong.can explain me?? why dont i get packet in both receiver?? if i cant, can i send udp packet to "who are lisenting particular port" using java??
receiver1:
socketForReceiving=new MulticastSocket(8888);
InetAddress address = InetAddress.getByName("239.7.1.1");
socketForReceiving.joinGroup(address);
receiver2:
InetAddress addr = InetAddress.getByName("131.10.20.16");
SocketAddress sockaddr = new InetSocketAddress(addr, 8888);
MulticastSocket socketForSending=new MulticastSocket(sockaddr);
