Compare JSONObject and HashMap in Android?
It's not really a duplicate. Read carefully! In my app, performance matters. So I need the fastest way to code my data model. Also I know That JSONObject implemented an inner HashMap. Just like JSONArray implemented an inner ArrayList, so the expected performance should almost be the same with little difference.
Point is that every single item I want to get from my JSONObject or JSONArray, I need to handle a JSONException (simply catch it).
We know that try-catch is time consuming and having to parse a lot of JSONObjects/JSONArrays means practically HashMap-ArrayList is much faster that JSONObject-JSONArray.
Is the idea right?

wait, since these classes implement java library classes, cant you just call#equals()on them?
