is my query correct for searching common data in 2 tables?

-1

I want to search matching data of table3 from table1 and table2 whose datatype is converted from number to string matching that of field1 of table3.
MS-Access 2007 giving error as invalid procedure call.

SELECT DISTINCT FIELD1, STRCONV(FIELD1, 20)
FROM TABLE1
UNION
SELECT DISTINCT FIELD1, STRCONV(FIELD1, 20)
FROM TABLE2
WHERE EXISTS (SELECT FIELD1 FROM TABLE3);
