Python: safe search and replace in a .sql dump file

0

I would like to search and replace some terms in a database, without breaking anything (serialized data...). When the database is online, I can use a script like this one https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/ to handle this.

I would like now to do the same thing but with the .sql dump of the database. I couldn't find a script to do that, is there a simple way to do that in Python? Php or bash language is ok too.
