Dynamically load data into bootstrap modal?
I am trying to dynamically load data into the body of my modal but cannot seem to get it to work.
Javascript:
createAndShowLinksModal: function (Uid) {
Uid = Number(Uid);
$('#myModal').removeData('bs.modal');
$("#myModal").modal('show');
for (i = 0; i < WtmDetails.vars.allData.length; ++i) {
if (WtmDetails.vars.allData[i].TaskSchedulerLogUid === Uid) {
var dataLinks = WtmDetails.vars.allData[i].Link;
for (j = 0; j < dataLinks.length; ++j) {
var htmlPara = $(document.createElement("p"));
htmlPara.text(dataLinks);
$("#myModal.modal-body").append(htmlPara);
}
break;
}
}
}
},
Html:
<div id="myModal" class="modal" tabindex="-1" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog" role="document">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h5 class="modal-title">Links:</h5>
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-
label="Close">
<span aria-hidden="true">×</span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p></p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-secondary" data-
dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
For reference, "dataLinks" in the code above is a string (there may be more than one which is why I have created the nested loop). If the id of "allData" matches the id of the table row clicked on, I want to append the body of the modal with the string from "dataLinks" when the modal is opened. Currently, the modal is empty.
