node.js HTML window.innerWidth passed to a new HTML screen

0

Site (main HTML) launches a window in a new HTML file. I would need to pass the screen width of the window where I start (main HTML) to the launched HTML. No URI is involved to pass any parameters (not very familiar with such sites either - yet).

Now the way I tried to do this was simply use global variables but the new HTML site will refer to its own window.innerWidth.

I also tried to freeze the value to pass it from a function (from main HTML), which resulted in the same results as previously.

Any ideas?
