Error implementing C5.0 in Python with rpy2
i'm trying to use the C5.0 in Python with rpy2. The goal is to predict labels with time series data. In Python i've succesfully used pandas series with a list, but R / C5.0 expects a matrix or a dataframe as x-value. I've tried the following:
x = robjects.r['matrix'](list_with_time_seriesdata)
Firstly it expected column names, so i implemented this:
x.colnames = StrVector(["x"])
Now I recieve the following error message:
RRuntimeError: Error in UseMethod("QuinlanAttributes") :
no applicable method for 'QuinlanAttributes' applied to an object of class "list"
The print-version of the Matrix looks like this:
print(x)
do you have any idea how to fix this problem?
python r machine-learning rpy2 c5.0
